The Launch of the Mai Tai Canoe

Aloha,
Last week saw the official launch of the Mai Tai canoe at Trader Vics, the Hilton London...
Carved and created by Jamie at CheekyTiki, with a little help from Patrick, Trader Vics Manager...
This giant drinking vessel had a lot of love coming into creation and I imagine a lot more in the months and years to come, full of Mai Tai's, Zombies, you name it, you can fill it.... 10 gallons in total...

Look forward to drinking from the Mai Tai Canoe at next years London Luau

More Mahiki!

Here are a few links to blogs and forums around the world that have been keeping an eye on progress at Mahiki - London's newest tiki bar designed, decorated, and kitted out by CheekyTiki:

Humu Kon Tiki:
This new venture, called Mahiki, is sure to be lovely, given the fantastic talents of the people behind Cheekytiki.

Tiki Central:
As a very fortunate eye witness to these happenings, I can affirm that everyone at Cheekytiki deserves a lot of credit and recognition! It will definitely be a tiki landmark on this side of the pond!

(from another thread on) Tiki Central:
wooohooo

Tiki Talk:
[CheekyTiki] did amazing work on the Black Pearl Boutique, so the bar is sure to come out smashingly.

Virani le Beachcomber:
Le bar est situé dans le quartier chic de Mayfair, en face du Ritz.

Here is a very realistic example of a lobster. This item is a fun bathtime toy for children (not suitable for ages 0-3 years). It also looks great as a decoration with a fishing net or lobster pot.

It is made of a slightly rubbery, bendy plastic. Painted orange with darkened details, it measures 32cm in length.
